This Kobe Bryant, quote resonates with so many of us, since this idea of time is so slanted in our brains. So what's the significance here? Why's it is so significant? Furthermore, why does this statement show up in such countless spots? The motivation behind why individuals continue to say, the difficulty is you assume you have time, is on the grounds that when we're more youthful, time appears to move so sluggishly. However, as we age, it speeds up quicker and quicker. You gain this new viewpoint as you become older. You arrive at new and more profound understandings about how time functions, and why you totally need to deal with it like the valuable asset it is, and oversee it the correct way. Obviously, we have less time than we naturally suspect. It's a valuable asset. So why waste it? Why not embrace the little measure of time you have in this world and accomplish something uncommon. Help other people and enhance the world to make a feeling of genuine commitment. It doesn't mean you should be a tycoon and offer your fortune, since there is such a lot of you can do while you're exactly where you are and at this moment! Simply guarantee that anything you're doing is being finished in the feeling of everyone's benefit. We are totally interconnected here and in the event that you're not helping other people here and there and adding esteem, then, at that point, you really are burning through your time. So how would you utilize your time carefully? How would you contribute it instead of waste it? There are a few different ways. Be that as it may, these may be a monstrous takeoff of character for you. It could cause you flinch and to feel uncomfortable. In any case, that is completely fine. Since, there isn't a lot of time. For a major piece of my life, I was generally so scared of others' opinion on me. I feared their viewpoints and what they could think. Be that as it may, guess what? Life is too short to even consider thinking often about individuals' thought process of me! Go out there and effectively overcome your feelings of dread. Hurry into the trepidation. Embrace it. Make it your companion. Since, I guarantee you, the one thing will push you and take you farthest throughout everyday life. Try not to stress such a huge amount over feeling awkward. Stress more over not carrying on with the existence of your dreams and/or intentions, since you were excessively terrified of not making the penances expected of you to carry on with your best life. Be that as it may, in the event that you're significantly serious about not burning through your time, this is the very thing that you really want to do: Google yourself! Think about Kobe Bryant's quote, next time you see it or hear it!- Valerie Cheers 🌹 🏆 🏆

Do More WITH LESS!! ONE OF THE CONCLUSIONS I'VE REACHED as I've grown older and, I hope, wiser is that... less is usually more. In other words, when given the opportunity to simplify your life... take it.I compare it to pruning a tree. By removing the excess branches, the tree has more energy to bear beautiful blossoms and healthy fruit. Your life is no different. When you continually prune the areas not bearing fruit, you will be able to focus your energy on what matters most.Granted, "simplifying your life" means many things to different people. It can mean more time, less stress, less clutter, fewer bills, and greater peace of mind. Your personal quest for simplicity may include one or all of these attributes. However, I can only share with you what has worked for me, and I hope you can relate. Consider these suggestions:Say goodbye to the "the Joneses" (😉 not me of course)— Chasing symbols of success can be an all-consuming, hollow existence. Your focus on living in a larger house, driving a more luxurious car, joining the right clubs, and updating your wardrobe will bear no fruit when it comes to peace of mind. Before you make your next purchase, ask yourself these simple questions: Is this something I really need? Can I do without it? Will it make a positive difference in my life?Live by the 80/20 Rule — In business, there are a few rules of thumb; 1) that twenty percent of the players on your team will generate eighty percent of the business, and 2) that twenty percent of your guests or customers will create eighty percent of your problems. I've found both to be true. I'm suggesting that you apply the rule to your personal life. First, identify the twenty percent of problems that create eighty percent of your stress in life. Then, focus on resolving that twenty percent. You'll be amazed at how much better you'll feel by making progress on these major issues. I also predict you'll get a boost in attitude from just making the list.Unload your emotional baggage — hate, anger, and resentment can lower an invisible ceiling on your future. Repeat to yourself the words of William Ward, "Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the handcuffs of hate."To be happy focus on the critical few things not the insignificant many.#MSH #makeitcount #emotionalintelligence #lessismore #success #people #energy #leadership #personaldevelopment

When you take selfless action in your career or business and face a setback or huge loss then how to overcome it? It can be challenging when implementing selflessness in a practical context brings about difficulties or setbacks in one's personal life. Here are some suggestions on how to overcome such situations and find a balance:Self-Care: While practicing selflessness, it is crucial to prioritize self-care. Taking care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being is essential for maintaining balance and resilience. Ensure that you allocate time and energy for activities that rejuvenate and nourish you.Seek Support: Reach out to supportive friends, family, or mentors who can offer guidance and encouragement during challenging times. Sharing your concerns and seeking their advice can provide a fresh perspective and potential solutions to your situation.Reassess Priorities: Reflect on your goals and values. Determine what is truly important to you in the long term. While selflessness is admirable, it should not lead to neglecting your own well-being or the well-being of your family. Assess how you can find a balance between serving society and fulfilling your responsibilities towards yourself and your loved ones.Plan and Strategize: Consider how you can align your selfless actions with your career and financial goals. Explore ways to integrate your passion for service with your professional pursuits. This could involve seeking employment or engaging in projects that align with your values and allow you to make a positive impact on society while also meeting your financial needs.Trust in the Divine: Develop trust in the divine order of things. Sometimes, setbacks or challenges are opportunities for growth and redirection. Have faith that the right path will unfold, even if it may not align with your initial expectations. Cultivate patience and surrender to the divine will while remaining dedicated to your purpose.Maintain a Positive Mindset: Practice positive thinking and cultivate gratitude. Focus on the positive impact you have made on others' lives through your selflessness. Recognize that material success is not the sole measure of fulfillment and happiness. By shifting your perspective and emphasizing the intrinsic value of your actions, you can find contentment and a sense of purpose.Remember, finding a balance between selflessness and personal well-being is a journey that requires introspection, adaptability, and resilience. By integrating self-care, reassessing priorities, seeking support, and trusting in the divine, you can overcome challenges and find fulfillment in both your selfless actions and your personal life.

ATTITUDE IS A CHOICEAs we enter a new year we are likely reflecting on the past and thinking about the future – setting personal and professional goals. One of the areas I encourage us all to reflect on is our attitude. In my perspective, this is an area that is difficult to train, can be influenced but ultimately is a personal choice. The right attitude helps us deal with difficult customers/colleagues, desire to find creative solutions to meet problems, open our minds to different perspectives, go the extra mile without thinking about it, and treat other people well (genuinely).Every day in every way we have an opportunity to choose our attitude in the moment. We won’t always be having a great day, and many factors influence our attitude. Our goal is to have strategies to assist us in making a choice to be positive.Consider how you might answer the following statements.Rate yourself mentally using a scale of never, seldom, usually, almost always, or always.Statement #1:I look for and try to bring out the best in everyone through my actions.Statement #2:I treat others as I would want to be treated.Statement #3:I am aware of how my attitude affects others.Don’t beat yourself up if you couldn’t honestly answer “always”.The key to success in life is heightening your awareness and using real life opportunities to practice.I hope one of the following quotes may be inspirational to you.“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” (Leo Tolstoy)“We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.” (Carlos Castaneda)“They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.” (Carl W. Buechner)“For every minute you are angry, you lose sixty seconds of happiness.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)“I have learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circ*mstances.” (Martha Washington)“No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars, or sailed to an unchartered land, or opened a new heaven to the human spirit.” (Helen Keller)“Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.” (Carl Jung)“The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way.We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude…I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.”(Charles Swindoll)

Yesterday, I shared my recent struggles with assessing my life by wealth and “success.”Here are 7 ways I'm working to resolve the tension between ambition and happiness:1. Measure my “success” less on outcomes and more on what’s in my control. Am I growing? Am I making the best decisions available to me? Am I being my best self? And when I mess up, am I learning from my mistakes?2. Be present “All negativity is caused by an accumulation of psychological time and denial of the present. Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry - all forms of fear - are caused by too much future... Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness, and all forms of nonforgiveness are caused by too much past, and not enough presence.” – Eckhart Tolle3. Think more about where I’ve been and less about where I’m goingSuccess and material accumulation often seem permanent, while experiences seem ephemeral. But the opposite is usually true. I’ve never heard my 87-year-old Grandpa talk about the joy that success or wealth brought. But he constantly reflects on happy memories with gratitude.4. Focus on relationshipsMost of these memories Grandpa shares are moments with people he loves. Ultimately, this is what matters in life: our experiences and relationships. However, work usually pushes you to not focus on relationships. You see your team as “resources” that help you achieve business goals. You see customers as revenue.5. Appreciate the beauty of things and momentsModern life does a terrible job of cultivating the appreciation of beauty. So many things take our attention away from beauty. Phones, headphones, the rapid pace, etc.I’ve been trying to just pause in almost any moment and find and appreciate its beauty.Today, for example, I showed my children “One Week” by BNL, and my daughter laughed loudly during the song. I took a beat to appreciate the moment because I remembered listening to the same song with my Dad as a kid.6. Cultivate core, not ephemeral identitiesI chose my first college because I couldn’t give up my identity as a “football player.” But I was unhappy there and transferred. Being a “football player” is a very tenuous identity.Similarly, while being a CEO is cool, it is also a temporary identity. But there are many identities I can cultivate that can be core to me during my entire life. For example, being a learner, a father, a person of integrity, a problem-solver.7. PlayThis simple mindset shift has helped me perform better and be happier: see work as a game. Work is much less fun and more stressful when you view it as your core identity. Or a super serious reality with high-stakes consequences. But if you see work as a bunch of mini-games, you can ask yourself, “What game am I playing here? What does it mean to win this game? What are the rules of the game?” I’ve been able to approach work with a much more creative and playful attitude this way.

Are You "Living in Choice?" ✨ "Living in Choice," is language I picked up during my time with lululemon.Yes, it is very "lululemony." I get it, it sounds like I am about to ask you for the time and location of your birth. But, fear not! I have no intention of digging into your star sign today. ⭐ Instead, I want to give you a tool that has helped me to pull my head out of my a** on more than one occasion.Let's start with what it means to be "living in choice."When you are living in choice, you are responsible for how you show up in every situation, conversation and moment of your life. It looks like being kind even when others are not.It looks like staying motivated even when there are barriers. It looks like taking a rest when others tell you to push through. In each of these situations, there are external factors. But what you CHOOSE to do is completely independent of those external factors.Your life exists within the choices that you make. Now how do you know when you are out of "choice?" 🙅♀️ For me, this looks like ▶ Blaming others for my situation▶ Feeling sorry for myself▶ Waiting for things to magically changeMy all-time favourite, thinking the grass is greener on the other side while being completely uninterested in caring for my lawn. (Don't you love a good analogy 👌 )Okay, I am living out of "choice," now what?1. Awareness 👀 This is the hardest and most impactful step. Once you understand what it looks like to be out of choice, start recognizing it in the moment.Tune into your bad habits, your excuses and your coping mechanisms. Now, forgive yourself, you are just doing your best.2. Write it Down ✍ Take one situation and write down every detail about it. Write down the facts, your feelings, other's actions, barriers- I mean EVERY detail. Now cross out everything that is outside of your control. Now circle everything that is inside your control.3. Focus on The Circles ⭕ For everything you circled, write down one thing you can CHOOSE to do to make it better, shift your perspective or change the outcome. 4. Accept the Things you Crossed Out 🙌 I am not telling you to make excuses for others bad behaviour and I am not saying that major barriers do not exist. What I am saying is you need to accept that these things are out of your control. The only thing you can control is how you CHOOSE to react. If you feel stuck, unmotivated, angry, or resentful I feel you. Life is hard and sometimes we slip out of choice. But living out of choice is like holding a hot coal, you are only burning yourself. So why not choose to put the coal down?Stumbling your way through life? Me too. Start focusing on yourself! If you want to be in the top 1% league you need to do what the 99% are not doing ( I know it’s a classic line ) Let me break it down for you, stop banging your head to the wall to figure out what the other’s aren’t doing and to be extremely unique trust me I wasted a lot of time doing this.Your motive should be something like this, take something that everyone is doing and ask yourself how can I do this better, how can you make this worthy enough, find the loopholes find the details and come up with strategies that the others could not. Remember DEVIL’S IN THE DETAILSIt’s not about uniqueness all the time it’s about strategies and attention to detail!➡AUTHENTICITYBeing true to yourself and living authentically can contribute to greater emotional well-being. Suppressing or hiding your true thoughts, feelings, and identity can lead to stress, anxiety, and dissatisfaction. Why be a replica of someone else when you could be YOU..being pretentious is a lot of work just let go and try being yourself it’s much easier, also you are more likely to think outside the box and bring YOUR new ideas to the table.➡BOUNDARIES Focusing on yourself involves setting boundaries to protect your time, energy, and emotional well-being. Establishing clear boundaries helps prevent burnout, resentment, and overwhelm, allowing you to maintain a healthier balance➡ PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY - By focusing on yourself, you take ownership of your actions, decisions, and outcomes. This personal accountability fosters a sense of responsibility and integrity, driving you to strive for excellence and take proactive steps towards achieving your goals.➡PERSONAL FULFILMENT - Investing in yourself fosters personal fulfilment and a sense of satisfaction with life. Whether it’s achieving personal milestones, pursuing meaningful experiences, or simply enjoying moments of self-reflection and introspection, focusing on yourself enriches your life and brings you closer to your true potential.Starting is the most challenging part..but when you do, you will be unstoppable and you’ll start enjoying it. This is something that I’d never regret and you wouldn’t too. This is your cue to start focusing on yourself because you’re important and you matter!I also started embracing myself which turned my life around I started loving my confidence and style. Not letting anyone or their opinions get into my head are the best things that came along with focusing on myself!

Perception: Why We Shouldn't Worry Too Much In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to find ourselves preoccupied with what others think of us. We often go to great lengths to shape our image, fearing judgment and seeking approval from those around us. While it's natural to care about people's perceptions to some extent, it's essential to strike a balance and not let it dominate our lives. First and foremost, it's crucial to understand that everyone has their own lens through which they view the world. People's perceptions are shaped by their experiences, beliefs, and biases. Therefore, what one person thinks of you may not accurately reflect who you truly are. It's impossible to control how every individual perceives you, so trying to do so is an exercise in futility. Moreover, obsessing over other people's opinions can be mentally exhausting and emotionally draining. It can lead to anxiety, self-doubt, and a constant need for validation. This constant worry can stifle personal growth and prevent us from pursuing our passions and dreams. Instead of focusing on people's perceptions, focus on being authentic. Embrace your strengths and weaknesses, and remember that no one is perfect. Authenticity is magnetic; it draws people to you who appreciate you for who you are, not for the image you project. Furthermore, it's essential to surround yourself with supportive and understanding individuals who accept you unconditionally. These are the people whose opinions should matter most to you. Seek their feedback and constructive criticism, as their input can help you grow and improve. In the grand scheme of life, what others think of us should not be the driving force behind our actions and decisions. Ultimately, our happiness and fulfillment should come from within, not from external validation. When we free ourselves from the burden of constant worry about people's perceptions, we can live more authentically, pursue our passions, and lead happier, more fulfilling lives. So, let's prioritize our own self-worth and well-being, and worry a little less about the perceptions of others.
