[Top 5] DbD Best Oni Builds That Are Powerful (2024)

It’s no surprise that I love the Oni, and I get asked frequently by various people what the best builds on him are. As the game adds updates and nerfs, this list is subject to change, and this is also just my humble opinion. ENJOY!

This list will be the top 5 Oni builds in Dead by Daylight.

5. Save Your Team, I Dare You.

This is a build to capitalize on the survivors trying to be altruistic and save their friends.

• Starstruck (Trickster) - When carrying a Survivor, Starstruck activates:
  Survivors suffer from the Exposed Status Effect while in your Terror Radius.
  The Status Effect lingers for 26/28/30 seconds after leaving your Terror Radius.
  After hooking or dropping the carried Survivor, Starstruck deactivates:
  Starstruck has a cool-down of 60 seconds once the Survivor is no longer being carried.
• Make Your Choice (The Pig) - Each time a Survivor is rescued from a Hook when you are at least 32 meters away, Make Your Choice activates:
  The Rescuer screams and suffers from the Exposed Status Effect for the next 40/50/60 seconds.
  Make Your Choice has a cooldown of 40/50/60 seconds.
• Hex: No One Escapes Death (Generic Perk) - Once the Exit Gates are powered and there is at least one Dull Totem remaining in the environment, Hex: No One Escapes Death activates and lights its Totem:
  Increases your Movement speed by 2/3/4%.
  Survivors suffer from a permanent Exposed Status Effect.
• Blood Warden (The Nightmare) - As soon as one Exit Gate is opened, Blood Warden activates.
  The Auras of Survivors standing within the Exit-Gate area are revealed to you.
  Once per Trial, hooking a Survivor while Blood Warden is active calls upon The Entity to block the exits for all Survivors for 30/40/60 seconds.

4. The Chase

This build was designed to gain the advantage whilst in a chase with a survivor.

• Lethal Pursuer (The Nemesis) - At the start of the Trial, all survivors' Auras are revealed to you for 7/8/9 seconds.
• Bamboozle (The Clown) - Performing a Vault action is 5/10/15% faster and calls upon The Entity to block that Vault location for Survivors for 8/12/16 seconds.
• Spirit Fury (The Spirit) - After breaking 4/3/2 Pallets, the next time you are stunned by a Pallet, The Entity will instantly break it.
  You still suffer from the Stun penalty.
• Enduring (The Hillbilly) - Reduces Pallet Stun duration by 40/45/50%.
  

3. The Heal Stopper

This build is designed to make it very difficult for survivors to heal, as Oni, you can capitalize on those sweet sweet blood orbs this way.

• Sloppy Butcher (Generic Perk) - This perk increases the amount of bloodshed by Survivors from Basic attacks by up to 100% in tier 3.
• A Nurse’s Calling (Nurse) - It is an aura-based perk that reveals the location of Survivors healing themselves or being healed up to 28 meters from the Killer at tier 3. This includes if a survivor is reviving a downed teammate.
• Coulrophobia (The Clown) - A Survivor’s healing speed is reduced by up to 50% in tier 3 as long as they are within your terror radius. This makes it easier for you to catch up to Survivors and slug them when they try to heal their allies.
• Distressing (Generic Perk) - This perk increase your Terror radius by up to 26%. So Survivors will cause panic and take double the time to heal themselves and others, all the while giving away their location.
  

2. Alert

This build is designed to keep the Oni aware of what is happening in the match by notifications.

• Hex Ruin (The Hag) - This perk is one of the best perks to use on a killer as it regresses Generator repair progression for all generators when they are not being worked on. The regression speed can go upwards by up to 200% of the normal speed.
• Tinkerer (The Hillbilly) - This perk will give you a Loud Noise Notification when a generator repair progress reaches 70%. Moreover, it will also give you an Undetectable status effect for up to 16 seconds. This is an amazing perk that can catch survivors off guard.
• Pop Goes The Weasel (The Clown) - After hooking a Survivor, Pop Goes the Weasel activates for the next 35/40/45 seconds:
  The next Generator you damage instantly loses 25% Progression.
  Regular Generator Regression applies afterward and Pop Goes the Weasel deactivates.
• Dragon’s Grip (The Blight) - This perk activates when a Survivor interacts with a generator that the Killer has kicked. The Survivor will let out a scream upon interacting with the generator, leaving their location exposed for 4 seconds. Moreover, they will also be inflicted with an Exposed Status Effect for up to 60 seconds.
  

1. SCREAM

This build is designed to notify the Oni of a survivors presence as the match progresses.

• Barbeque & Chili (The Cannibal) - Every time you hook a Survivor, this perk will activate giving away the location or auras of all Survivors within the 40-meter radius of the hook. If they are close to you or hiding in a locker, then this perk won’t reveal them.
• Infectious Fright (The Plague) - Whenever a Survivor is put into the Dying State by any means, all other Survivors within your Terror Radius will scream and reveal their current location to you for 4/5/6 seconds.
• Corrupt Intervention (The Plague)- At the start of the Trial, the 3 Generators located farthest from you are blocked by The Entity for 80/100/120 seconds.
• Monitor & Abuse (The Doctor) - Your base Terror Radius is increased by 8 meters.
  Whenever you are outside of a Chase, your Terror Radius is reduced by 16 meters while your Field of View is increased by 3/5/10 degrees.
