How long will FedEx hold a package? ›

FedEx will hold your package for up to 7 days for before it's returned to the shipper. You'll need to bring your tracking number, government-issued photo ID, and your door tag number. To learn where your package is being held, you'll need to track your package.

Where can I drop off a FedEx package? You can choose from thousands of FedEx Office, FedEx Ship Center^®, FedEx Authorized ShipCenter^®, FedEx^® Drop Box,* Walgreens, Dollar General and grocery locations nationwide. Some are even open 24 hours.

But if your local FedEx drop off point is open on Sundays and Bank Holidays, you can still drop your parcel off so it can be collected the next working day. This gives your parcel the best chance of arriving at its destination sooner. FedEx does deliver on Saturdays as this is a working day within the UK.

FedEx delivery times and store hours

Typical FedEx delivery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday–Friday and on Saturday and Sunday for residential deliveries except for FedEx expedited shipments.

It will be held for pickup as early as the same day of your missed delivery attempt. Packages not picked up within 7 days will be returned to the nearest FedEx facility or shipper. Refer to your door tag for the pickup location and availability.

FedEx Hold for Pickup allows you to request packages to be held at a FedEx location. You can pick up packages on your schedule at locations that are convenient to where you work or live.

Use the prepaid label provided by your merchant and drop off the package at any of our 56,000+ locations. Or use the USPS. Drop it off at one of their locations, or leave it on your porch or in your mailbox to be picked up.

How do I create a prepaid label? Open FedEx Ship Manager and go to Returns to create the prepaid label. Then, select whether you'd like to email the label to the recipient or send it via courier.

If your online shopping return has a FedEx label, you can drop off your sealed and prelabeled package to a Walgreens location of your choice and ask a store associate for assistance. Don't have a label? You can request a FedEx return label from participating online stores.
