This Citrus Sangria is packed with fresh ruby red grapefruit, blood oranges, lemons, and key limes for a bright and zesty co*cktail perfect for a party!
This weekend we headed over to some friends to watch the game. And being the awesome guest that I am, I, of course, brought goodies! Now, I’m not a big beer fan and really not a huge wine fan either, but I do love me a good sangria and this Citrus Sangria definitely hits the spot!
I decided to make a sangria, it’s one of those easy drinks you can make a large batch of WAY ahead of time which is even better! Normally, I tend to gravitate towards sangrias with a red wine base, but my friend, Nicki, isn’t a huge fan of red wine. So white wine it was! I’ve always used a Moscato for my white sangrias, but something about the Chardonnay was calling my name. Maybe it was the apple and papaya aroma, but either way, I had a feeling it was going to make for a WINNING sangria!

And it did! Seriously, the bright citrus flavors come together so beautifully with the Chardonnay and the triple sec, simple syrup, and lemon-lime soda gives it a finish that will have everyone pour a second and third glass before the game is over! Now that yesterday’s games are over, we’ve all got two weeks to start shaping up those menus for Super Sunday and I highly recommend this Citrus Sangria makes the list!

This Sangria looks delicious. I’m a huge fan of white wine sangria (less headaches than red wine). I’ve never tried blood oranges but the colour gives this drink an extra pop and I’m going to have to try it next time.
When I make a big batch of sangria I often make ice cubes ahead of time out of lemonade or out of the soda so that when they melt they aren’t diluting the sangria.

That’s a great idea with the ice cubes! I always finish mine off with a lemon-lime soda for a little fizz and refreshment!

This is a beautiful drink, and I bet it tastes just as good as it looks! I haven’t made too many sangrias with white wine, so I definitely think it’s time I changed that. Thanks for sharing this lovely recipe!
